I grew up in the Chiricahuas in the 60s and 70s. I attended a one-room school in Portal. I travel to the Chiricahuas regularly now, though my permanent home is in Seattle. This 'sky island' is one of the most ecologically diverse places on Earth. The plan to make it a military flyway is just plain wrong, improper, and extremely disturbing. Please, please, please don't vote to create the flyway. So many people, creatures and plants will thank you. Here is your chance to be a hero!
