[date] Senator Mark Kelly 1661 N. Swan Rd Suite 238 Tucson, AZ 85712 Dear Senator: I am writing to you as an Arizona resident, voter, and business owner. I read your recent comments about creating an expanded contiguous airspace over southern Arizona with great concern. As a resident in Cochise County, we are experiencing frequent nuisance military flights here. These include numerous F-16 training flights, flying well under the allowable altitude limits and disturbing daily life, recreation, wildlife, and business operations. This will ultimately hurt our economy, and in my opinion, it is only a matter of time until a crash occurs or a fire is started as a result of this activity. I am sure you are aware of the over 2000 signatures that have been gathered to protest the USAF’s proposed expansion of the MOAs in our area. Residents, businesses, and conservation organizations are strongly opposed to this proposal, and we will continue to fight it. There are many alternative places to conduct military training rather than over residential and protected wilderness areas. Please consider that further. We will be watching your future statements and actions on this matter. Thank you for your consideration. Regards,
